This blog is short and sweet, so let's get to the OOTD.
Friday- I wore one of my favorite sweater dresses and boots.
I felt so sassy Friday morning. I think the red hair and bangs are to blame.

Scarf: One of my best friends... she left this world in 2008, and I have a small handful of things that belonged to her. I miss her so much, so when I wear her scarf, I feel very close to her.
I wanted to make sure that I could still do the splits. LOL
I could still do them, just not as graceful as I used to be. I am still pretty flexible though.
Saturday - we went to a holiday party to play Wii and Apples to Apples.
My husband was a good sport and took my OOTD pics.

This bag was also my friend Lisa's. She got it in China when she was there for work. She was a fashion designer. I miss her so much. I remember when she got this bag and she brought it out one night. I told her that I wanted it when she was done with it. I hope she knows how much I love it.
I am sorry for getting so sappy. December is her birthday month, and one of my favorite memories of her is the last December she was here on this earth. We were both very new into our relationships. It was 2007 and it was our first Christmas with our boyfriends. We were both head over heels and excited. I remember that we were both driving home chatting on our phones and trying to decide what to give these men in our lives for Christmas. It was a great feeling.. feeling happy and excited about our love lifes. We both knew that the men we found were the ones. I miss her like crazy. I just hope she knew how much I loved her.
I miss her so much.
Awwww what a lovely post, it's nice to remember your friend!
ReplyDeleteThis was a beautiful post!! and she was GORGEOUS! Just like you!
ReplyDeleteP.S: I wish I could do the splits!
There is so much to say to this post, but I will leave it at: I'm sorry for your loss, she seemed like a great friend and I can only imagine what it must feel like for you to continue your life without her. On a lighter note: I love your hair! I totally wanna copy the cut :)
ReplyDeleteMerry Xmas and best wishes to your friend, too, wherever she might be xoxo
Thank you so much ladies. She was a great person and I always say that I would rather feel the pain of life sometimes, than not ever feel anything.
ReplyDelete@Stefanie - Thanks, I learned how to do the splits when I was young and in dance class. It just kind of sticks with you.
@Rikke - thanks for your words, and I think that you should go for the cut. It's really just the bangs. I love bangs!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!! (Or Happy Chanukah too! I celebrate both!)
awww thats so cute <3
ReplyDeletePS love you tan booties!
I think she knew how much you loved her, it shows in those photos. Loving the hair and the splits.
ReplyDeleteI remember hearing about Lisa on the news. It was such sad news. What ever happened to the teen that was driving the car.
ReplyDeleteThanks all!
ReplyDelete@Lori - He finally went to trial in 2010 (after his girlfriend was able to crap out his kid.) He was convicted in June 2010 and he was charged with Vehicular Manslaughter for the other young man he killed, countless other charges, and murder one for Lisa, because when he initially hit her, his car stopped and he made the conscience choice to turn the car back on, reverse and it was the second blow that they determined killed her. People were screaming for him to stop and get out of the car, but he kept driving - then left his car in a McDonalds parking lot, left two people to die and one man who miraculously survived - left him impaled on a fence. So I guess that for the next 25 years or so, he can think about what he did.
