OOTD: Vintage Lace

Daydream, I fell asleep amid the flowers,
for a couple of hours, on a beautiful day.

Daydream, I dream of you amid the flowers,

for a couple of hours, such a beautiful day.

I apologize for my lack of blogging as of late, but I have valid excuses:

1. I have been busy at work.

2. My laptop's hard drive crashed and I am not able to go online. We have a desk top too, but I love sitting on my big purple comfy chair, watching movies or listening to music and blogging.

3. I have been really doing a whole lifestyle change... mostly with eating. I have been living at our local health food store and farmer's market buying every vegetable and herb there is. I feel amazing. I start my day off with a green smoothie and it's amazing how great I feel. After having one of my smoothies, I can't see myself eating bad throughout the day, so it starts me off right. I even have the hubs doing it! Here are my favorite smoothies (they make enough for two people) - try one and thank me later:

2 cups kale

2 whole pear
1 frozen banana
2 tablespoons of chia seeds (packed with protein and omega fats)
1/2 cucumber
BLEND and Enjoy!!!

3 cups Spinach
1 orange
1 green apple
a few sticks of celery
2 tablespoons chia seeds
BLEND and Enjoy!!

4. Life just gets in the way... a good thing right? I adore my husband and being married to him is the single most precious gift in my life, so blogging is going to take a back seat when all I want to do is be with him. LOL. We have our space ofcourse, but our time together is so priceless. (You can vomit now.)
5. And the last reason is because we recently added someone to our family.
This is Falcor.
He is a Malti-Poo pup who was in need of a home and my husband was dying to have him. This makes doggy number 3... I am thinking that we are having some serious baby fever, so one of the ways to calm that fever is to add love. Why not? We have the room, we have the love and we have the means to take care of him. Ssshhhh....if you know me outside of the blogging world, because we have not announced this news to our parents yet, who I am sure think that we are insane for having more than 1 dog.

So I am excited to give you an OOTD today. I have been dressing super cute, so I will have to get back into the groove. For now, please enjoy my latest:

I am in love with vintage anything and lace, especially in such a dusty pink like this, is so me. I actually cut the lining a bit to add a little something extra. I also swapped out the belt for today to match my sandals which are nearly invisible.
I feel like in this dress, I belong in a field of flowers or in close proximity to an old truck on a farm.

Dress: Torrid - size 3
Sandals: Torrid
Blazer: Super old Torrid size 2
Belt: From an old dress
Necklace: Gift
So have a happy Thursday and BREATHE - tomorrow is FRIDAY!!! I will try to get back in the groove!

Wonderful photos and how cute is Falcor!!! ^^<3
    Have a fun weekend! ^^/

  4. Your outfit is super cute, and totally my style. Chia seeds? Like as in chia pet? I'm intrigued.

    1. Thanks Sarah. Yes, just like Chia Pet. They are really mild and perfect in a smoothie because they form a sort of gel when they get wet, so they fill you up. Aside from being packed with protein, fiber and omega fats - they are really inexpensive. (Only about $6.00 a pound.) I am not sure where you live, but I am in California and I get them at Sprouts ( am sure though, you can get them at any health food store.

      You gotta try them!

  5. Super cute outfit! Adorable dog! Im so glad life is amazing for you right now! Besides your computer haha. Glad to hear from you!

  6. lol these photos are awesome! Happy to hear it's all going great! xxx
